Qutub Minar lights up in 'Jashn-e-Matdan' amidst general elections 2024
National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah commended Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's efforts to unify India's secular character and tradition during the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. The yatra, covering over 6,700 km from Manipur to Mumbai, saw participation from various opposition leaders.
Starting on January 14, Gandhi traversed through 15 states, 110 districts, 100 Lok Sabha seats, and 337 assembly constituencies, focusing on the importance of national unity. Abdullah said "Rahul Gandhi is trying to unify the secular character and tradition of the country."
Abdullah highlighted Gandhi's extensive journey, which included traveling from North to South and reaching Kashmir during snowfall, followed by the recent east-to-west journey culminating in Mumbai. Gandhi's Nyay Yatra aimed to connect with people across India, symbolizing his commitment to the country's secular fabric. Covering a significant distance of 6,700 km, Gandhi utilized both bus and foot travel modes during the expedition, emphasizing grassroots engagement and solidarity with diverse communities.
